Chronic kidney failure or Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a disorder of kidney function in regulating fluid and electrolyte balance as well as loss of power in metabolic processes which can cause uremia due to accumulation of substances that cannot be excreted from the body If fluids are not maintained or excess fluids occur, it will have an impact in the form of weight gain, and edema. Excess fluid can occur due to excessive fluid intake due to not being able to withstand thirst. Various studies have shown that interventions can be carried out, one of which is sucking ice cubes.
The general objective of this scientific work is for the writer to be able to understand and know nursing care for Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients with excess fluid volume problems in Kedok Village. The method used in writing KIA Nurses is to use a descriptive research method. The results of the evaluation that the researcher had carried out during 4 visits in 2 weeks showed that the nursing problems experienced by all clients were the same, namely excess fluid volume. when done routinely so that edema and ascites are reduced. Conclusion: The intervention in this study is effective in reducing thirst and fluid balance in CKD patients.
